Michael O’Brien Concerts & Events

Michael O’Brien is celebrating 32 years in full-time ministry. In the early 1990s, he signed a record deal with Benson Records and achieved five Top 5 singles and three No. 1 singles on the radio, including “If Ever I Forget,” “Nothin’s Gonna Turn Me Around,” and “What Held You on the Cross.” He joined the group Newsong in 1999, earning another five No. 1 singles, including “Red Letter Day,” “Rescue,” “Psalm 40,” and “Before the Day.” He is perhaps best recognized for singing the popular wedding duet with Natalie Grant, “When God Made You,” which he co-wrote with Eddie Carswell. Since leaving Newsong in 2006, Michael has led worship across the country and collaborated with ministries including Answers in Genesis, The Billy Graham Ministries at the Cove, Inspiration Cruises, and the American Association of Christian Counseling. Michael has been married to his wife Heidi for 37 years. They have 4 children, 4 grandchildren, and 2 more on the way.
